RFP for Certified Public Accounting (CPA) services
The Muncie Land Bank (MLB) is hereby seeking Certified Public Accounting (CPA) services. The mission of the MLB is to acquire blighted, vacant, and abandon property, preserve it, and provide it to the public for strategic redevelopment in the City of Muncie, Indiana. The scope of service is the provision of standardized bookkeeping and accounting services for the operations of the MLB. The Muncie Land Bank (MLB) is a small nonprofit organization that is incorporated by the State of Indiana. The MLB is further a public charitable organization with an IRS 501(c)(3) designation. The MLB has an independent Board of Directors responsible for the strategic planning and development of the organization and an Executive Director that manages the day-to-day operation of the MLB. The organization currently owns a portfolio of approximately 50 properties. The properties will be sold to the public for strategic redevelopment. Funding sources for the organization include local foundations, banks, charitable entities, MLB property disposition, individual donations, and the City of Muncie via the Muncie Redevelopment Commission. Work will be done with the Board of Directors and staff. The duration of accounting and bookkeeping services is for one year. The CPA entity should have sound and successful experience with both public sector and private sector sources.
